  Brooklyn's Fairy Tale

            A Middle-Grade Fantasy

In a small-town boarding house a girl learns she's living with an immortal witch.  Sorcery seems like an easy fix for the 11-year old's troubles, but apprenticing the Witch opens the door to a world of darkness the young apprentice must conquer with her own hidden fairy magic.

Brooklyn's father is missing on a secret spy mission, and after losing her local newspaper job, her mother moves to a cheap boarding house where Valentina, a strange, beautiful proprietor who serves curiously lavish meals, is really a witch.  Drawn into the Witch’s snare, Brooklyn dabbles in sorcery and unwittingly stirs up a deathly blizzard unleashing the witching hours.  Can the true source of Brooklyn's latent magic and her growing compassion for others help her rescue the town before it's too late?
